DESIGNING TOMORROW’S FUTURE, TODAY
As an organization, Southwest Opportunities Center, Inc. (SOC) is celebrating over 30 years of service. Since the founding of our organization, our vision of inclusion has held true. It has been a reminder of our purpose, and has informed our approach towards providing meaningful services to individuals with diverse abilities.
At SOC, our philosophy is simple: All individuals have the potential to learn and live a meaningful life in our community. The impact of our agency’s person-centered care philosophy affords independence and new opportunities that support the unique needs and goals of each person we serve, while fostering a sense of belonging and community connection. Our members and their families choose our organization because our team consistently exceeds expectations when supporting individuals with disabilities, regardless of age.
Over the past few months, these uncertain times have brought to light the importance of the services we provide to those who need them most. Though we are working hard to continue serving as a viable resource for our community, we need your support now more than ever!
We hope that you are inspired to impact the lives of others, and join us in spreading hope towards brighter days ahead. Please remember, every gift is a conscious act of kindness that will make a difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
We are deeply grateful for your support and are wishing you health and happiness during these challenging times.
Testimonials “Our family is blessed beyond measure that our son, Paul, can be a part of Southwest Opportunities Center. Paul is 26 years old and lives with autism developmental disabilities with the support of SOC, he can live a hoppy and very fulfilling life, Paul has so much pride in his work, that he chooses to wear a different colored tie every day to the center. The greatest benefit of SOC, though, is the caring community, made up of both clients and staff, that gives Paul a true sense of belonging and purpose. At SOC, Paul is respected and celebrated for the wonderful individual that he is – an artist, and animal lover, a person who cherishes his family, a friend. SOC’s mission is quite perfect because Paul’s life has truly been empowered by his experiences here, and for this, we are forever grateful!” —– Amy Wells Scanlan
