The impact that SOC makes on individuals and their families would not be possible without the generosity of the individuals, families, and businesses in our communities. Supporting our agency shows you believe in our mission and feel confident that we will continue to provide beneficial programs and services to adults with disabilities. Your support can be given through FINANCIAL contributions or through VOLUNTEER service.
For most donors, a cash donation is usually the easiest way to give. Simply write a check and mail it to Southwest Opportunities Center, PO Box 207, Lancaster, WI, 53813. Your financial donation will be used to support our current client programs, unless you specify a specific purpose.
Cash gifts can also be handled on-line by using a debit or credit card. Just click on this secure site to make your gift.
There are many ways for you to identify a gift plan that combines your desire to support SOC with your overall financial, tax, and estate planning goals. SOC established a memorial fund to ensure that we are financially secure and able to meet the future needs of our community members. The following are ways you can contribute:
Now you can support SOC just by searching the internet and shopping online. GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. GoodShop.com is an online shopping mall which donates up to 37 percent of each purchase to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores including Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, ebay, Macy's and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you'll be supporting SOC.
Memorial donations are always an appropriate way of recognizing and remembering someone such as a family member, friend, or colleague who touched your life in a meaningful way.
Planned gifts can be donated in the form of bequeathing appreciated stocks or other assets and also by naming SOC as the beneficiary of your IRA, pension plan, or life insurance policy. When planning with your attorney and preparing a will, consider your loved ones first, and then please consider giving a gift to support the future of SOC.
Whether you can spare a few hours every now and then, on a weekly basis, or even a
daily basis, we have plenty of opportunities to match your talents and interests to our agency
and the individuals we serve. Here are just a few of the opportunities available:
